Ism-e-Mohammad
Spreading the beneficence of Ism-e-Mohammad along with the king of invocations Hoo (ھُو) is solely the marvel of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen. Undoubtedly, it represents one of the greatest achievements in spiritual enlightenment.
Notably, his spiritual guide Sultan-ul-Faqr VI, among lakhs of disciples, chose him alone to grant the contemplation of Ism-e-Mohammad. Before his passing, his spiritual guide imparted these eternal words:
Thus, following the will of his spiritual guide, Sultan ul Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman spread the beneficence of Ism-e-Mohammad among his disciples, creating a lasting legacy of spiritual enlightenment.
Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen explains in his book Shams ul Fuqara (English: Sufism the soul of Islam) the secrets, marvels, blessings and effects of Ism-e-Mohammad:
Without his guidance and help, no one has ever reached Allah and no one ever will. Unless his attention is bestowed, neither the soul of a seeker becomes alive nor finds gnosis and union.
There are infinite attributive names of Allah but Allah (اَللّٰہُ) is His personal name.
There are many attributive names of the Holy Prophet, but Mohammad (محمد) is his personal name.
Allah (اَللّٰہُ) and Mohammad (محمد) are the most powerful names in spiritual practice.
The name Mohammad (محمد) manifested when there was nothing except the light of Allah and Mohammad. Thus, Ism-e-Mohammad itself is entirely Divine light, possessing miraculous powers and spiritual grandeur beyond human comprehension.
Meaning: O Beloved! Those who swear oath of allegiance upon your hands in fact swear oath at Allah's Hand. And Allah's Hand is upon their hands. (48:10)
Meaning: And he (the Holy Prophet) says nothing out of his own will. Whatever he says is an outright revelation sent to him by Allah. (53: 3-4)
Sultan Bahoo provides profound exegesis of Ism-e-Mohammad, revealing the spiritual significance embedded within each sacred letter of the name Mohammad (محمد):
Through this letter, the seeker gains gnosis of Allah and begins the journey of spiritual recognition.
This letter grants the seeker presence in the Mohammadan Assembly, the spiritual gathering of the Prophet.
With this letter, the seeker attains observation of both worlds, perceiving spiritual realities.
This final letter brings fulfillment of all spiritual objectives, completing the seeker's journey.
The light of Ism-e-Allah Zaat acts as a coverlet over the seeker's sins, concealing them through Divine mercy.
Every word of the contemplator absorbs Divine light, illuminating conscience and guiding toward the straight path.
The Holy Prophet and Companions spiritually empower contemplators to guide others on the Divine path.
دہر میں اسمِ محمدؐ سے اجالا کر دے
Illuminate this world with the light of Ism-e-Mohammad"
